About Me

Welcome! I’m David M Vermillion, the Space Data Guy! I use math, data, and physics to further humanity’s space ambitions to expand into and beyond our solar system. My current focus is artificial intelligence for space applications.

I (semi) actively post on LinkedIn and YouTube. My public code repositories are on GitHub (check there for the code from my videos), and I occasionally post to Instagram, Threads, Tableau Public and Medium. You can track some of my academic publications through my ORCiD and look me up on DTIC, where I have published two papers, one publicly available.

I completed multiple degrees and certificates. In descending chronological order:

  1. I have a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from Colorado State University Global.
  2. I have a graduate certificate in Data Analytics from the Air Force Institute of Technology.
  3. I have a Bachelor of Science in Physics and double-minors in applied mathematics and military leadership from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T).
  4. I have an Associate of Science in Transfer Studies from Guilford Technical Community College.

I hold memberships with the Air Force Association (AFA), Civil Air Patrol (CAP), and the Space Force Association (SFA).
